Well well well.

Very nice. Very nice indeed. The beats are pretty hawt. Lacking some hi hats with that kick and snare, and usually most songs can be done just like that. But I kind of find them empty without it, but this is great nonetheless. Bass is alright, I think it could be a little bit grindy. Make that happen, and I swear I will have a eargasm XD lol. This sounds pretty hawt as it is, but I bet it would be better with a crunchier bass.

I think my only beef with that is the melody. It's too high in pitch... it kind of hurts my ears a bit... and the ending was a biiiiiittt too abrupt. It would have sounded better if you built up to it. Try using a drum roll near the end, and then end it with that huge bass kick fade out. That's my only beef. Other than that, this has some great potential. Little bit too slow... it's like in the 160 range. I think this has to potential to go faster. But it sounds great as is. Very awesome job.

I've never mentioned and I should not but I will do it right now anyway. I am new into DnB totaly, in fact this is my first. The pitch problem I am aware of. Shame on me. Thanks for reviewing it, I will seriously try to make a better DnB song next time.

Making it more grindy and crunchier bass was an awesome tip. I would also get an eargasm from that. xD

Sexy man.

Sexy drums. Love them ;3 I love the up beat feeling of it.... just makes you feel so pumped. The bass stands out very well from the synths and the drums. Everything seems to be in order. An awesome job my friend. Your synths are soooo fuxing awesome. Gotta make something like this someday XD Bells rock as the main melody, or whatever they are! THEY ARE THE SHIZ!

Heyyy, it's almost as long as my song... ooh. That was a cool way to end it. It looped perfectly :D Nice job on this one... Oh, I read on your demo that you were asking for co-labs. I think we could do a collab sometime if you'd like. I'm up for a challenge :D Good luck there mate. You're doing very well. CHOICE!

Marks-a-lot responds:

yea, I'm not sure how the co-labs work around here though but I think we could make some pretty sick stuff. Thanks for the review!

I haven't heard the original...

But I will give you my advice anyway :D

This sounds pretty hawt. But... yeah, those synths are a bit loud. So loud, that the drums are a bit in the background D: We can't have that!! XDD Bring out those sexy drums. Bass sounds pretty awesome too, mate.

Oh, and while on the topic of drums, I noticed that this sounds like an FPC sample. Brah, you need some Amen Breaks in there! It would totally sound better :3 Cool fade out by the by. I could jam to this for a good while, but then I'd get a little bit bored because the beat is pretty much the same for the entire song. You did pretty good, nonetheless!! :D Just gotta keep workin' at it, kay buddy? Keep it going!

Good...

But it turned me off. The intro was pretty good... but it was hellah long, man. And the very beginning, the transition was waaayy too quick. You should have left the pianos be for a good 32 seconds more or at least made it 45 secs longer before you transition into your second mood. It's like you have too different songs in one. I would have put that transition in the middle.

Next point: this is drum and bass, correct? For a good 1 minute+, there was nothing... but synths, bass, and that weird distorted click noise... which got annoying after a while. It was pretty random. And the way you brought back the pianos and still left that noise... this song does not feel like it is in order. The structure is very odd.

Third Point: near the very end, I hear the drums... after a good 1:30 mins of synth. I'm sorry, but that just doesn't do it for me. You are going to have to redo this one. You really need to stick to one emotion: etiher those pianos and a better bass, or that bass+noise, or a better combination of the two. You need to work this one out, and give it some more time. It sounds too haphazard and too abrupt.

As for the drums, you need to lower those volumes, or compress them so they don't sound too loud. Keep working at it.

DJ-Bert responds:

yea. well i don't know anymore. i lost my music talent....

Hawtness man!

Even though I haven't followed up through the days, and I've only heard day 4, which is The sound of a sunny cloud, I must say that this inspires me to make a song now XD So far I've been forcing things out. This is way awesome mate. You're doing pretty good. Very hard and tough beats, which is EXACTLY what I love in a dnb song. Drums are eargasmic <33 Awesome job mate! I'll try and keep up X3

~[IZK]

hopeku responds:

haha thanks!

I'm doing my best with my drums and my sounds...Since I had a little drum'n'bass template (Thanks for my day 4), I had some more time to work my overall mastering!

Thanks buddy, and I hope you'll make one of these kick ass songs!

Very awesome.

But I have to agree with Fernando down there. This would be more breakbeat/electronica. But in the least, you do have the basic dnb beat down in this track. And it sounds pretty awesome. And as Fernando said, this is pretty predictable, and because of that, the drums can get boring after playing them for a while. You need to add some major variation if you want to suprise your audience, and lay down a bit of a heavier bass, but it's pretty good even in the background. You did an awesome job, but keep working on the beats, kay? Awesome mate.

Pretty hawt.

Interesting vox there. Sounds pretty awesome. What I love the most has to be that wub bass. I still have yet to learn how to do that, and it's been my main priority for the longest time. I dig the beats. They flow very well with the song. The pads are awesome. Kinda clips when it loops back there. I really like those rides there. Their chemistry with the beats are amazing. This would pretty good for background music in a flash, or something like that. Cool consistency with the beats. Just enough variation to keep my interested the second time around. Very nice job. I dig it, mate.

Marks-a-lot responds:

Thanks-a-lot

I know what you mean about learning how to make bass sounds. I have been reading book after book and watching tutorials. I am finally starting to make some cool sounding basses (so worth it :)) I heard those clippings too, I was just feeling very lazy after I rendered it out.

Pretty awesome man.

This is pretty cool. The good old days of Megaman X: Zero 2. So many memorys. Dammit, I should not have sold that game away ._. I want to play it now... *sniffles* but anyway, there's some pretty hard beats here. Me likey very much. You did an awesome, fantastic, and magnificent job with this... but I have to say that I prefer my version of the remix over yours. No offense. Just a preference. Either way, THIS ROCKS!! :D Great job, and keep it up!

YouriX responds:

Thanks for the comment. Well i guess is natural to like your own song better then others. I think im gonna check your version.
Anyways thanks for the comment!

Interesting as well...

You have great skill with that Amen Break. I need one as clear as yours. Mine sounds like crap =/ Cool flutes.

My problem with the flutes is that some of them are on natural notes, which sounds a bit odd for the melody. I don't know if that is me, or the song lol. I think I hear at least 3 or so notes on naturals... but it's whatev. You're doing well.

Dude, zero bombs annoy the fuck out of me sooo damn much. Especially when I know that my song is acceptable enough to earn a 4-5 lol. But it's whatever. You can't let that get you down. =D Keep goin with it!!

~[IZK]

Nurren responds:

For my Amen break, I just let FL do it for me, then I fixed it up myself. I can send you a file or a loop pack if you'd like :3. Also, that flute was a triangle wave or whatever you call them. I really wanted to do more with it, but meh.

I'll keep on truckin'

Hmm...

Sounds pretty cool. Dig the phasing on the main synth. The pianos in the background give great form to the entire accompaniment of the rest of the sounds. An interesting piece... haha lol. Well, I'd write more, but there doesn't seem to be enough here for me to criticize, but all in all, keep goin for it!
