Hmm...

Pretty good. I like those recorded drums.. but.. they're being clouded by the huge bass line thar :( But it sounds pretty good noneless. Very very heavy. Good sub bass.

Ooohhh.. that ride on the left speaker.. oouuccchh... that did a number on my ear :/ Careful with the panning... it can't be too far or else it'll get annoying. Lol. Heard that FL vox preset XD nice. Very very tough song. Get's kinda crazy here and thar, but it's good. Keep it comin'.

Killa5o9 responds:

I know, that ride was killing me!
Trust me, it used to be worse :S

Ah man... This I like..

Although there are a few things out of place in this song that should not be there... like those detuned bells :/ They ruin the song cause they don't fit the same tone of the song. Although this was done pretty well. And I like it. Amen ftws lol. You need to learn some more about delays, reverbs and effects so you can give your songs more spice. Very nice drums by the way. Dig the punch on the snare.

Killa5o9 responds:

Thanks man, glad you liked it :)

Very very nice

An awesome load of effects. Especially that *wooo* sound on the left speaker lol. Pianos are greatness, and I love that crystal-bell sound you have for the leads thar.

Bongos! They are always great in dnb songs. I thought the drums could be a little bit punchier though.. probably replace that crunchy kick with a smooth kick layered under a hard kick... and a punchier, more outstanding snare. But other than that, this is pretty good. I like it. Fave'd and 5'd.

Hense my asking for machines left, right and centre. I am a chronically lazy person so editing the WAVs and then importing them back in just irks me ;-)

Anyway, glad you liked it - bongo's own (did notice they vanish too sharply during the introduction - needs remixing)

Cheers \\nn//

Oooh.. the Good ol' Days...

I definitively love this song. The good days of playing Ape Escape. You brought it back all in one flash... I definitely want to remix this song... especially after playing the PSP port of Ape Escape.

It was greatness.. anyway, I thought that the song is a very nice flow to it. Cool arps, and I like the pads in the background. The beat is nice and clear. Punchy at that. Very nice job. And Thank you for the memories. You did a very good job.

Not bad not bad..

Haven't had the chance to review this one.. been busy working on some songs... I got my hands full now lol. I like the break you used. An interesting version of the Amen break.. not bad. It does sound like a boss battle. I wouldn't be surprised if this was used in flash for some boss battle.

Bit of a rough start at the intro, but gets right into the flow of the song a few seconds later. I like the headshot vox at the middle of the song lol. XD That is great lol. A bit repetitve, but it's great for what it is. Ending was a bit abrupt as well.. I think a fade out would have done it more justice. But it was pretty good. Mixing is a bit off, and it does get to be a bit loud... but it's pretty good. Keep workin' at it.

Killa5o9 responds:

Thanks a lot!
The mixer work: im still tryin to get the hang of it, but its getting better...
And that headshot vox, i really love that part :D from unreal tournament, of course :D
I like your new song too!
Cya, and more is coming soon :)

Hmm...

You know how much I love da strings, man. Strings are greatness. Very nice entrance for the gated arp. And now some melody :D Oooh this is great. Haha. The vox XD hahah. Very nice. Very, very well done. The song is greatly, greatly well done. Feels very polished, and cleans. Oh so squeaky-clean.

You have out-done yourself, my good man. Makes me feel like dancin! And that pizzicato at the end feel so realistic. Very nice. That was joygasm in a bottle. I loved it, and so shall others. Please don't take it down D: hehe. Nice job.

Hmm..

I like it. It was kind of odd at the beginning though... Sounded like explosions. Pretty sure they are. I can just faintly make out a heart beat in the intro/outro. Too much on the low end of the spectrum to be heard.

Very very, loud... and I can barely make out the piano after the drums come in... is there a bass in this?... I think I can hear it... too much clouding for it to be heard though. =/ Plenty of sounds: Arps, Pads, Pianos, Sound effects, some faint bass. Volume my friend. More work to be done in the mixer. Pretty nice though.

I must say that in the intro.. it can't start off that fast with the drums, if you start with slow intro pianos. Just kind of makes things weird, but you seem to have pulled it off. So, not bad thar. Need to be gettin' some new drums there though lol. Oh, and don't worry about the zero-bombers. Happens it all the time. =/ They just want you to get mad, so they can tell you how noob you are. Just keep doin' whatcha doin', and don't worry. Nice track.

Hello.

Nice nice. I dig it. Didn't expect a PM from you, but expect the unexpected as they say. So... let's give this another go.

1. Interesting intro... like the use of gate on that primary bass. Also like that grimey bass you bring in afterwards. Although... I'd consider that a bit too much bass in the least lol.

2. Ah... looks like you took my advice on the drum sample. Drill NB I see. Sounds more DnB now. But sadly, those drums are being clouded by the heavy basslines and synths. Now that you have the idea, you have to work on your skills in the mixer.

3. Volume is all out of proportion. It's all crazy. Makes it a bit tough to listen to =/ -1 there :( Try messing more with the volume knobs internally and externally. It might help.

4. Things get pretty repetitive. I'm not much a stickler for that, so I'll leave that be. That's how most DnB songs are, anyway. Gotta keep things interesting, though.

5. That's an odd fade out at the end... not the way I expected it to end. It'd be best to leave a few seconds after the bass fades out,so that it'll loop back more smoothly and nicely. Not bad, though.

Not bad, not bad. Still could be a bit more creepy... but you have the chaos workin'. Definitely chaotic. But with that chaos comes the sacrifice of the volume and the frequency properties... and.. that's not good. :( Now you have the idea, basically, you have to work more in the mixer to get more clarity out of your song. You did pretty well, nonetheless. Keep practicing, mate.

Killa5o9 responds:

Man thank you very much for the review, ill keep workin on it, heh. thanks anyway!

Guess who was right?? :D

Another well deserved shiny brand-spankin'-new 10 from me my good man. I told you that this one definitively 1-up's Grind :D And you can see the results I expected from da peoplez ;3 Great job on this song. I loved this song since you first showed me, and it was greatness.

You did an awesome job, and I can't wait to hear "We All Fall Down". Hopefully it'll soun d creepily awesome with that Ring around the Rosie wav. I found for ya. Keep up the awesome job. I have no complaints whatsoevar. Rock on, and keep on rockin.

~[IZK]

Marks-a-lot responds:

Yea I know! I honestly thought that grind would have done better. I'm the maker though so when I am listening to this I am probably hearing something different than the listener. Thanks for the review and suppport.

Hmmm...

Ah.. so you are the one who remixed crimson's song... Quite an interest version/spin put onto this song. I'm not much for hip-hop, but I definitely like the beats. It added an interesting taste to the song.

Although, I feel that it's lost it's original calming touch, and gave it a more tense atmosphere. But makes for a great up-beat song. Love the spin. If crimson only had the file.. I think you could have done sone more if he had sent it over : < Great job nonetheless, mate. Keep it real~

~[IZK]

randomheckler responds:

thanks glad you liked it. and yeah it did lose it's clam relaxing feel. thats why i was pretty reluctant on changing it. but in the end, i think that it came out pretty good. i wish i could have done more but what i downloaded didn't really leave much to the imagination. but thanks for the review mate.
