Whoa nice lol.

Your theme huh? Hmm... I wonder how my theme would sound like... Niceness by the way. Sounds quite awesome. Dig the 8-bit sexiness you put on it lol. I would like to make an 8-bit someday... in the near future :(... But anyway, great job lol.

Maybe you will have a vg theme...maybe?

Ah dude, You didn't tell me that..

You posted this sexy litttle piece of heaven =/ I love it totally. Even the last one you sent me. Friggin' awesome man, even if it isn't eq'd/mixed/mastered/fx'd lol. Dig the song. I have no complaints, to say the least. SO, you have earned another 10 from me. Great job.

Another shiny ten! I like to post songs when I feel like dancing! I felt like taking a dance on my face so I posted a song? Now I walk my three legged horse boy and smack babies in the mouth for calling my horse boy a whore.

now that I got that silliness out of the way, thanks for the review. That 10 is a 10 that is good, I mean it is even better than a 9. As long as you enjoyed my music that is all that matters.

I need sleep before I make another random comment...bye izk

Oh it's Magnificent..

I love it. Although.. I thought at the beginning, you could have probably added delay on those square leads to make it more dynamic. Makes for great background music to a flash or a video. I might use this in my poem project lol... It's very awesome. The sliding on the lead reminds me of Ape Escape, that one snowy stage... oh it's just becoming to epic for me.... I need your kind of inspiration =/ This is just... oh so.. beautiful. *tears*

The pianos flow along greatly, and the synthy bass is just great. The ambience in the background fits so well. It's quite atomospheric. And the percussion just brings it all together very nicely. It just makes me want to relax and chill... forget aobut my surroundings.. turn off the lights... and just listen in pure darkness and I imagine a wonderful landscape.. a scene where there is a traveller wandering an icy snowy land, just exploring nature at it's finest... which I think I might do later on...

It so wonderful. The mixing is perfect (imo). Sounds very crisp and clear. I love it. You have done... amazingly well. Kudos. Fave'd, five'd, and downloaded to the max.

Thank you for sharing this piece of magic.

likewise, what a magnificent review :) thanks!

I'm quite glad you like this one IZK. Its also cool (no pun intended) that you pictured a snowy land, wasnt really my intentions for this track- but I uploaded an abandoned, snowy city in Ukraine as my icon, which I doubt anyone can make out from just the tiny size.

The mix still bugs me but I think this is one of my better works on handling the effects and levels, because I was alot more organized in the process. I really thought through how I was going to place each sound in the frequency spectrum. The synths at the beginning actually do have a thin delay effect on them, but I'm all for bringing it out more :)

Once again thanks a lot for the support, feels good man :D

Oh hay tijnn! :D

Very very noice, my friend. Sounds like tribal at the beginning with some awesome percussion sounds and that ambience and synths. Awesome white noise build up at 1:17 and into the nice percussion beat with the amen break there and the tribal bongos :D Awesome wub bass in the background as well right after the build up X3.

Very awesome to the end there, but it stayed the same after a while with the same recurring beats, and when that pitch-up with the amen break happened, I was expecting it to break into something much faster.. but.. it was a let down :( I felt that you should of sped up the song right after the second pitch-up, so that it could really pick up the song from it's slow and sound demeanor and just rock out with some nice fast and hard beats.

But that's just me.. other than that, the track is pretty sweet there! An awesome job. Oh, and be sure to check out my WIP *Assassin's Call*. Haven't had the chance to pm everyone, so it's just been staying where it has lol. Thanks in advance! And thank you for your song! :D

tijnn responds:

Hehe i thought it was cool to keep the song in that comfort zone, 100 BPM, sinister and dark, powerful, but still not too fast and very controlled.

It also loops pretty sweet like this.

Anyways, if i were to perform with this in the future, this would be an opening song for a faster / harder set-up anyways. (:

Thanks a lot for the review though, and i feel you with the tribal idea.

Oohhh... I love it S3C.

Awesome job between the three of you =) Coolies ambiance. Très Superb, mon amie. It's a really grea track.. the ambience is just perfect... and the Asian influence just makes this track out of this world. Very nice gated synths, and the progressions are well made. Percussion instruments fit quite well, and add much rhythm to the song. *dances*

Haha. 3:49 is really awesome. Now it's starting to kick it up a notch. Awesome ethnic drum sounds :D and the flutes are just magnificent... haha, awesome fade out, and the bong with that last flute note was just fantastic. Great job to the three of you. ;3 And an awesome job, S3C. Faved and 5'd.

w00t i'm really glad you like it dude, appreciate the active listening and in-depth descriptions, thanks for your review man!

Awesome.

Techinally it should be in video game, but it fits well here in techno lol. It's a tad bit slow for drum and bass. Awesome rendition of the main intro song to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Love that game. It rocks. fave'd and 5'd. Nice job.

thanks, it sounds kinda dnbish to me =/

AH JEOPARDY!

Brings me back to those jeopardy games my english teacher plays when he wants to do a game of jeopardy based on a book or play lol. Hahah. Very catchy. I like it lol. An awesome job there lol. *dances*

thanks =] my brother wanted me to remix this song

Wow..

Guy below be was so closed minded... =/ I like this one.. it has some potential. Beat is just a bit broken, but it's not bad. Need some volume on those drums. A nice chill feel to it, and the bass is a bit generic there. I'm more in the grimy, grindy basses, but this one fits with the song, so it's coolies. Interesting use of cutoff filtering. Makes for a cool in and out wave on that melody. Nice job. And not bad for a techno guy =]

~[IZK]

ganon95 responds:

this was the first dnb song..er...loop i ever made. i also like the use of the cutoff =]

Now this is better.

This is more drum and bass, without the bass, which is sometimes hard to pull off, and you did it well. I like this song.. quite relaxing and chilling... chillaxing.. yes.. and I love the ambient feel to it.. just soooo cool.. very nice, my good man. An awesome job. 5'd and fave'd. Keep it real~

ganon95 responds:

thanks this was one of my first dnb attempts =]

*sigh* Grasshopper...

You have much to learn if you think this is drum and bass. It may have drums... and it may have bass... but that does not mean that it qualifies as Drum and Bass.

For one... there is no sign with the drums that it is drum and bass. There's no feel of a break, or that generic "Bum pish, bum-pish", or even a feel for the use of an amen break-beat, or something like an amen break. Although the beats may feel like it is.. it's just too broken to be a definite beat. This mostly feels like techno, to be honest. =/

And I think the guy below gave a very vague definition of drum and bass. Drum and bass are fast paced songs that "usually" range from 160-180 bpm, and 180+ in some other cases, even up to 190. Some songs include the use of an amen break, or an emulation of an amen break, or a break that contains that sort of feel. And that's the drums alone.

For the bass, it usually isn't broken and in continuous in the same note like in this song. It's continuous and various and emulates the melody of the song, and in most cases has a wub-like feel to them when used, and is actually exciting and not just one note the entire song.

Now, understand that this is my take on Drum and Bass, for other people may have different opinions.

But.. on to the matters of this song for the moment. I like the japanese like feel to it when you used the strings. Kick comes in strong but... why is a bit muddy afterwards? It should've kept going strong.. and as for the snare.. or what sounds like a clap o.o sound okay I guess, nice and strong. Bass was okay... but it gets annoying after a while. Even with the cutoff frequency. There is just no variant to it. It gets boring and makes me lose interest. =/

So.. I shall give you a 5/5 for vote and 8/10. I think you should look up some drum and bass songs here on NG for a better look at the genre. Try people like Koriigahn, ParagonX9, Zero-Bass, or myself cause I'm just immersed in drum and bass myself.

So without further ado, an interesting song, but it just doesn't do it for me, but you did well. Keep it goin', and have a good day, sir. Keep it real~

when i first made this song i had DNB on my mind, i was trying to come up with something that sounded awesome and was DNB, and im pretty happy with the way it is.

and i have heard many drum n bass songs so i know what its all about, i only really like one song by paragon x9 (chaoz devotion) but i noticed that most of thoes songs have sounds that i don't have and don't know how to make or find.

but either way this is technically drum n bass because it has drum and bass
